While killing time waiting for stuff to upload the other night, I did some random searches on one of my favorite sites, Etsy. One of those searches was for pet related items, and these are some items I probably could treat Tater or Rascal (my two canine companions) to that might survive more than a few hours …

I’ve always been in the anti-pet clothing camp … of course, I’ve always owned large breed dogs with plenty of fur and that would look a bit ridiculous if I tried to put a sweater on them (not that any of them would have let me do so). But these bow ties are too cute to resist … she also has cute flower style bows for girl dogs as well.

This was one of several custom dog tags that came up in the search results … it was one of my three favorites as all of my pets are ‘rescues’ (some adopted, some that showed up) …

Here’s the other two I liked … the first one fits Tater perfectly … he licks (and eats) what grosses me out and then wants to lick me afterwards! The second one appeals to the Irish in me

This was the only one she had breed-wise, but it doesn’t hurt to ask if she’ll consider adding other breeds!

Meet Tater — he’s a five month old beagle/blue heeler/catahoula mix that has absolutely way too much energy. Adopted a week and a half ago from the Henderson County Humane Society — I didn’t name him, but since he’s now a country boy,  I figure it fits. And, yes, that’s snow on his ear above … nothing like a snowfall to welcome a pet home! He did enjoy making snow puppy angels ….

Someone decided to teach him a new game rather than how to shake paws. Needless to say, he enjoys playing Gotcha … meanwhile I feel like I’m back in PE playing basketball when I go after him …

Did I mention he’s a smart little devil critter? While we initially had to reinforce the pen (he can go through cattle panels a bit too easily), he escaped the temporary enclosures three times — twice by climbing, once by digging. Then he figured out how to get a running start, hit the gate somehow and pull himself over once he was in the pen. The gate’s a bit taller now

… and yes, I realize there’s a lot of pics in this post. I figure since the other fur critters at mi casa have had at least a post or two dedicated to themselves, Tater needed to play catch up …

However, he returned home earlier today — he had to make a temporary trip back to the shelter for a requirement of adoption (that’s the nice way of saying he was neutered). He’s none too happy with me for that visit if anyone was planning to ask.

As much as it looks like he’s conjuring up a spell … he’s just taking a break from chewing on an old bone he found.

Oh, and this image (my favorite) … someone yelled out “Get the chew toy” just prior to this image. Said someone better be glad I have quick reflexes — and able to manually focus as was raising back up — or they’d owe me a replacement camera and/or lens right about now.

I’m a bit behind in sharing these sneak peeks (apologies to her mom!) … but better late than never, here’s Miss Chloe’s online debut!

Poor Chloe was so cold that she was looking back at her momma to hurry up and get her off that cold metal bench!

Despite the fact he tried to get too close to me, I love this image with the detail of his whiskers!

He could care less that the old rug is purple … all he knows is its a nice warm & dry place to cozy up on a rainy weekend … and that he claimed the prized location from one very upset kitty!

Amazing. Really. I’d be happy just to be able to do yoga …

On security patrol … he has lots of space to keep in line!

Meet Pokie. She thinks she’s a princess or a diva. I haven’t determined which yet. Probably a bit of both. Anyway, this little miss knows when a camera is around and plays it to the hilt. This particular day she was in her ‘woe is me’ mode …

Ah, what do I have to do to get her to look at the camera?!?! At least I have lots of pretty bokeh behind her to drool over — loved the lighting we had that afternoon!

AYKM?!?!? (that’s ‘are you kidding me?!?!?‘)

Just bought this chair last Saturday — didn’t get to use it for today’s session, so I left it on the back porch until I had time to store it w/ my other props. Came back outside to this sight. She didn’t move until I finished taking pictures and literally picked the chair up and she slid off. Can’t leave anything around outside anymore, she ‘marks’ it before Yea Yea can. He, meanwhile, was sitting at my feet while I took this (and several other images). No worries, clients, the chair will be wiped down before its used again

And speaking of today’s session — oh, my, way too many spectacular shots to sort through and pick out the best of the best. Its gonna be hard …
