New Name, Slightly New Look ...
... but still the same people behind the
cameras!
On June 1, 2009, Reflections of Life Photography became Christina
McCall Photography ... the full explanation is posted
here. Robby
will still be helping behind the scenes from time to time when his work and class
schedules permit.
However, in the process of revamping and renaming,
we've streamlined our services at CMP. We're no longer providing
wedding or event photographic services, but will be more than happy
to refer you to one of our many North and East Texas friends who
provide those options.
From here on out, CMP is focused on lifestyle portraiture for
families, children, maternity, infant/newborn, seniors, and
couples/engagement -- as well as the occasional bridal/Rock the
Dress (after the wedding for brides or junior/senior girls who want
to rock out one more time in their wedding/prom dresses).
Commercial, travel, and fine art photographic services are now
offered via our subdivision, 5 foot 4 Productions. And ... coming in
January 2009, one more surprise that's in the works ...
Our new contact information -- email, website, Facebook Fan Page,
and Twitter profile are all linked at the bottom of the left-hand
column. Be sure to become a fan of CMP and follow us on Twitter --
Facebook & Twitter-only specials are announced from time to time!

All traveled out!
Sadly, summer's nearly over -- but I
spent nearly three weeks of it traveling around the United States!
In June, my family and I piled into the parents' SUV to
belatedly celebrate their 30th anniversary and took off on
a 17 day roadtrip. For those of you who missed all the posts from
the road and afterward,
click here for the full adventure. We visited Garden of the Gods
(and saw Pikes Peak from a distance), were upgraded to an
awesome 4-star eco-friendly resort in Jackson Hole, toured Grand
Teton & Yellowstone, and spent some very much overdue time with my
best friend and her family in Great Falls before heading up to
Glacier National Park for two days. After we left there, we headed
into Alberta & Saskatchewan, visiting Waterton National Park, the
Prince of Wales Hotel, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Museum. On
our way back south, we detoured at Theodore Roosevelt National Park,
Devils Tower, Mount Rushmore, and the Oklahoma City National
Memorial. If you fall in love with any of the images after
vicariously reliving The Roadtrip, premium fine art prints and a
limited edition postcard set (which a portion of the sale will be
donated to charity)
are available for purchase.
Then, in early August, I made an overdue weekend trip up to the
Tulsa area to stay with one of my best friends from high school. I
took the long way and traveled the OKC to Tulsa stretch of Route 66
-- aka The Mother Road -- plus some Route 66 stops in Tulsa,
Claremore, Catoosa, and Foyil. Images are still being edited from
that trip, but if you venture a couple weeks back in the archives,
you'll find a
couple from Arcadia!

It's Christmas a bit early for one family!
In late July, CMP announced the
Christmas in August Family Portraiture Giveaway for a
complementary session and some extra photo goodies valued at $350.
The deadline passed last Monday evening & our judges were forwarded
the entries on Tuesday. Last night, the winner was announced and
the Till Family were
this year's winner's. You can drop by the site and leave them a
congratulatory comment ... then check back later this fall to see
sneak peeks from their family portraiture session.
Mystery Promotion ...
All sessions booked on or after May 1st but before November 15th will receive
a postcard explaining our mystery promotion and an envelope containing a special offer
via snail mail upon confirmation of their session date.
Bring that envelope UNOPENED to your session -- I'll open it to
reveal your special offer with your collection purchase:
a 11x14 luxe print, a discount on a luxe
canvas, a 5x7 Mona Lisa Collection Mini Masterpiece , or win a complementary mini portrait session +
5 high resolution images on CD.
Only one client will win the complementary mini portrait
session + digital images -- valued at $400 -- it could be you!

Autumn Casting
Call
CMP is looking for a few good people
... wait, that sounds like I'm recruiting for the Marine Corps!
I have a handful of ideas and locations I'm dying (figuratively)
to test out on volunteers before begging and conjoling clients
into -- that way if they flop, I don't disappoint ;) Take a look
at the 'wish
list' and if you or someone you know fits one of the
descriptions, drop me an email at
christina@christinamccall.com ASAP. I only have a limited
number of slots to squeeze these in on, so I will be ending the
casting call in the next couple of weeks ...
