2011 Session Favorites | Athens Texas Photographer

Quick PSA: CMP & Sit.Stay.Snap. are closed for a holiday break from Wednesday, December 21, 2011 through Tuesday, January 3, 2012. It was a tough decision to make, going through all the images from client sessions photographed this year, but I narrowed down my favorites to these six … some have been sneak peeks here on the blog already, others have a story behind them that made them outright winners in other ways …

In no particular order …

This is one of several outtakes that made it into the final round of picks presented to her mom … something about her expression makes me think of Betty Boop

I chose this one because it took a bit of time for Cody to finally let a smile sneak through during his session

This one was one of those jump up and shout “yes!” moments … getting a child, especially one with special needs, and their pet to stop and look at you at the same exact moment for more than a nanosecond is rare. Granted, I did have my foot on the soccer ball about to kick it back towards them, which did help me snag this image

This image wasn’t posed … we had wrapped up shooting a sequence of images at the track and were heading back to our cars when I saw the perfect image playing out before me …

I have to be honest, this one is my overall favorite for 2011 … while I love the color and artistic edits of this image, this muted black & white one allows Savannah to stand out from the background.

Another one of those perfect timing moments … Miss Chloe telling the squeeky toy just what she thinks of it!

CASA Superheroes | Athens Texas Photographer

A few months back, the director of CASA of Trinity Valley contacted me regarding a promotional shoot related to their annual 5K … that would be superhero themed like this one. So after some planning and schedule coordinating, here’s a few sneak peeks from the shoot …

In addition, in planning this shoot the idea for a photobooth at the race next spring came into play … so obviously we had to shoot that idea too. More details on the photobooth @ next April’s race will be posted come springtime … meanwhile, here’s a couple of sneak peeks to tide everyone over!

It’s a dog’s life … on this particular day, we hung out watching Saturday morning cartoons before heading out to the park …

Meet Jack … one of the sweetest and funniest eight year olds I’ve ever met … who just happens to have the most beautiful set of blue eyes I’ve had the honor of photographing …

Jack is quite the character … I couldn’t share a sneak peek that didn’t include all of his animated expressions as well as demonstrating that he is as comfortable in the water as he is on land.
