A few months back, the director of CASA of Trinity Valley contacted me regarding a promotional shoot related to their annual 5K … that would be superhero themed like this one. So after some planning and schedule coordinating, here’s a few sneak peeks from the shoot …

In addition, in planning this shoot the idea for a photobooth at the race next spring came into play … so obviously we had to shoot that idea too. More details on the photobooth @ next April’s race will be posted come springtime … meanwhile, here’s a couple of sneak peeks to tide everyone over!

Meet Jack … one of the sweetest and funniest eight year olds I’ve ever met … who just happens to have the most beautiful set of blue eyes I’ve had the honor of photographing …

Jack is quite the character … I couldn’t share a sneak peek that didn’t include all of his animated expressions as well as demonstrating that he is as comfortable in the water as he is on land.

This little lady has been featured here multiple times over the last couple of years … so it was a challenge to think up something new for her session this time around. Her momma and I are slowly learning what places/props we can’t use anymore though! Here’s a few of my favorites …

Miss B loves music … so the records were quite fitting as a session prop this time around …

Peekaboo … I think we did a lot of peekaboo-ing during this session!

Got to bring out the unicorn again … which Miss B absolutely loved!

I have more sessions in the queue awaiting blogging but because of some holiday related giveaway posts and other year-end posts, I will try to get them blogged early in the new year … so leave Miss B some comment love as her images wrap up the last of the 2010 client session posts!

Quick sidenote: This is blog post #600 … just over two weeks shy of CMP’s 3rd birthday! Okay, back to regular programming now!

Its that time of year … the one that every kid dreads and every parent eagerly anticipates … back to school time!

So to commence the start of homework, recess, naptime (do they even give that to kindergartners anymore?), and library visits, here’s a recent schoolgirl themed portrait session with Miss TyAnne …

The morning we held Ericka & Alicia’s session (along with Miss Carly previously featured here), it was so hot and humid that we were melting by the end. Thanks so much to them (and their parents) for being such troopers!

And if you need a great hairstylist … their mom, Pam (she’s at Classy Cuts in Athens), is super awesome! She’s the only person I trust (and can get my unruly wavy/curly hair stick straight with only a flat iron and dryer, no styling products)!

The H Family | Kaufman County Family Photographer

Way back in my childhood, I lived in this ‘blink so you miss’ town about an hour west of Athens (its significantly improved since I moved way, well, except for the house I lived in! That’s another story.). I was lucky that within a quarter of a mile of our house I had six neighbors the same age or two to five years older than me — especially as I was an only child until age eight! One of those neighbors was Randee …

I recently met up with Randee, her husband, Wamon, and their three children …

The day of their session was Kelci’s birthday … so here’s a solo shot of the birthday girl!

At the end of 2009, CMP participated in Giving is Awesome, a worldwide pay it forward effort to give deserving families custom portraiture sessions – nominated by someone they knew or touched the lives of. We lucked into a warm afternoon the Saturday I met up with Susan and her daughters, who were nominated by Richard R., and spent the afternoon capturing the three of them around town.

Many of you may recognize Susan — she’s one of the several awesome stylists at Classy Cuts in Athens.

For well over a year now, Amanda has been wanting to have portraits done of just her and Dave (their first portraits together since their wedding five years ago) … and finally it worked out for all of our schedules! The first half of their session was just the two of them … and the second half Miss B joined in for some family fun.

Now to add Miss B to the mix!

I’m afraid that I started something … apparantly Miss B wants a slide now …
