Mach 1| Athens Texas Photographer

I’ve had a folder full of car images sitting on my computer desktop for most of the summer with plans of sharing them all by now. Since summer’s nearly over and before I forget about them yet again until after holiday sessions wind down, I decided to share several of my favorites over the next couple of months. The above image as well as the rest of this series of car images were photographed in late 2008, so I’m way overdue on sharing them!

A bit of a backstory: Most people don’t realize it, but I do have a bit of a fascination with classic cars. I blame it on my father instilling in me at an early age that the 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang is *the* one and only classic worthy of owning — maybe one of these days I’ll have the excess funds to do so. And no, that’s not the 1964 1/2 Mustang above — its a 1969 model, but I’m sure it is worth a very pretty penny. Meanwhile I’ll settle for having previously bought myself a 2001 edition without a co-signer on his birthday eight years ago (not needing him to co-sign was my gift to him that year!). I miss my ‘stang dearly, maybe I’ll cave and trade in the Fusion for the 2011 edition in another couple years!
