Last year, my mother told me she wanted portraits of her and my father for their 30th anniversary. And so I complied. However, as one image gives away, my father wasn’t the most cooperative of subjects … so we tried again this year, with the stipulation that he wasn’t allowed to do four simple things: (1) talk while the camera was covering my face, (2) ask how his hair (i.e. sideburns) looked, (3) wear his baseball cap, or (4) raise that stinkin eyebrow to crack me up and thus ruin a perfectly composed shot. He failed at the last two …

Happy Anniversary to Christina’s Mom & Dad! I can appreciate 31 years as my parents are celebrating that same milestone this year as well! I love the images of your parents, and the “bird watching” shot just does something for me… perhaps a perfect reflection of his daily expressions?
I think this is on my list with Mom & Dad this year!
