Last summer, Seth Bailey, a friend and former high school classmate of mine contacted me for a project — a image for the cover of the novel he was writing. After reading through a draft of it to get some ideas to fit his vision, I set out around Henderson and Van Zandt Counties looking for the right spot. Later on, Seth and I made another scouting trip to Anderson County to capture a few more sights he had in mind.
In the end, this is the image he chose for the cover (shot with the Canon 15 mm fisheye lens) …

… and the cover itself (graphic design work by Seth’s brother, Lucas Bailey, a graphic designer in the DFW area).

Seth had his book launch party last Friday — sadly I was unable to attend, but I cannot wait to see the final product in person as well as to re-read his novel again.
You can purchase And The Rain Came Down directly from Seth’s website or from Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Borders, Hastings, or Books A Million.
