Its hard to believe there’s only four more days left in 2009 … and with that, I sat down over the weekend, picked out my favorite image from each session held this year and enlisted the assistance of a couple of elves to help me pick out the top 13.
Why 13? Its my lucky number (and yes, I love Friday the 13th, its my lucky day when it hits) … and we couldn’t get it down to 12, which was the original plan …
There’s a bonus with these 13 images — you the readers/visitors get to pick your favorite image of 2009. The person/people/family pictured that receives the most votes will receive a 10×15 luxe mounted print of the image pictured of them.
To vote, leave a comment (limit one per person please!) with the letter of the image (A – M) that you’re voting for between now and Thursday the 31st at midnight. Emailing me does NOT count — comments/votes on this post only. I’ll tally up the votes (by counting them directly from this blog post) and post the winner on Saturday the 2nd.
Now for the top 13 (in no particular order):

My choice for the best image of 2009 is “G”. The pose is very striking with the red hair bundled up beside her, and the background just makes the picture all the more interesting. Of course, I think the beautiful subject would make any picture a winner.
G. They are all so good, but I like this one the best.
Picture G………the young lady with red hair is absolutely beautiful………she looks so peaceful and relaxed. You definitely captured a special picture in this one.
My vote is for contestant “G”. Although I am very much biased (this beautiful young lady just happens to be my “bonus” daughter – one of two I have been blessed with this year) – the pose, the background, the peace on her face would win my vote anyway. You’re wonderful!
H! I love the colors and the symmetry of the image. Plus, I love the two subjects to pieces.
G is great. Love the composition.
13 amazing pictures, two nieces and one choice….im stumped…”A”, thats my final answer!
I love my sissy’s picture. She is “G”. It is a very pretty picture with the pink building. She looks very sweet in this picture.
like photo G
My vote is for G. So beautiful.
My vote is for “G”…
I have to go with your great shots in (D). Christina- you make it difficult to choose!
I LOVE image M! So cute!
Photo H is unquestionably the best. Great expressions in an interesting setting. Had the pitch fork been present one may have referred to this as Tyler Gothic. It would be interesting to take the perspective of the former owners of this property who toiled many days of there lives to provide more. Not for themselves but for the youth exhibited in the subjects. Great photo.
I love H! Looks like a CD cover.
I vote for “L”…very precious little boy!! All are very good tho!
I pick couple “H” – They’re the best
All these are incredible, but I vote for shot H! Nostalgic and contemporary. Like a combination of a Norman Rockwell painting and an Annie Liebovitz photo. Great shot!
My vote is for H. Great picture.
I have to vote for L Where did you get a precious little boy like him? You do such a great job.
I vote for L. It’s just too cute!
I vote for “h” love it!!!!!
H gets my vote
K is my fave
L is by far the cutest!
L: A majestic star is born!
I love H – Looks like a shot out of “Last Picture Show”. How artistic!
I love ‘em all, but it’s a toss-up between C and M.
definitly A…..love it
i choose A…my beautiful grandaughter
i vote for A
I vote for g!!! Although that’s my gorgeous daughter!!! She used to want to model and this pick looks like she is one u did a great job
My vote is for G, she is as pretty as her grandmother.
I would have to pick C as the top photo. I like the contrast of colors and subject matter. The formal gown offsets the rugged background of the car and buildings. Great shot!
I am partial to C because it is the first letter of my last name too…smiles.
Daniel Chambers
I vote for “L.”- Priceless
My vote is for G! I love the warm, subdued pinks and reds. Really lovely and creative portraiture overall!
G,I like that. I said “G” as in “G”.
I love photo “g”. This photo is so “life-like” and the beautiful model with the red hair and gleaming eyes fit directly into the background.
B–Love the sky and wonderful angle not to mention beautiful young lady!!
B enough said!!
G. Hands down this is the most down to earth model. She has a pure and inncoent air about her, which is what makes this picture so aesteticaly pleasing.
I vote for my sweetie in J!
J is the best!
